Gaslighting: The Hidden Truth Part 2

This week our focus is on Gaslighting. Gaslighting as defined in our first blog post of this series is defined as “a form of psychological abuse where a person or group makes someone question their sanity, perception of reality, or memories. People experiencing gaslighting often feel confused, anxious, and unable to trust themselves (medicalnewstoday.com).” The response to our first blog post on this topic was amazing so I have decided to end this week with some helpful videos and tools to recognize Gaslighting and even stop it.

The video below highlights Gaslighting in multiple ways. Some in relationships, interpersonal systems, and even politics. Gaslighting can be done by anyone and everyone, and the only way to be prepared for it is to educate yourself on the topic. The video below is a very helpful tool when it comes to understanding what gaslighting does to your brain in the final blog post for this week we will talk about preventative measures and how to get out of these toxic cycles so stay tuned!
