Brain on Trauma

In conjunction with our last blog post, we now know that trauma plays a major keystone in our biological makeup and predisposition to numerous medical and mental diseases. Along with this, trauma all starts with the brain.

The ability or lack thereof to process a situation and what we recognize the situation as plays a major role in deciding if something is deemed as traumatic to us. Below is another Ted talk from Dr. Riggs. In this Video Dr.Riggs explains how the brain is always in a constant state of looking for simulation and how this can be linked to trauma.
