Psychological Effects of Food

In Psychology, there are numerous different remedies and “cures” to things that may be affecting you mentally. Practicing breathwork for anxiety, wringing down your feelings to better understand boundaries, and even even picking up new hobbies to help combat depression; but, did you know different foods/ snacks can also help different emotional burdens. Below I will highlight some commonly known “bad moods” and highlight foods that studies have shown can help fight back against it!

    • Spinach and other leafy greens will give you a boost of energy

    • Chocolate helps to even out stress hormones

    • Food high in omega-3 such as Fish
