About 17 million adults in America have had at least one major depressive episode in a given year. For many, the idea of dealing with depression and its symptoms has become the “norm”. Though it is amazing to see the destigmatization of such a common disorder we also must face the fact that depression has been steadily on the rise these past few years, especially with COVID-19. Many may not realize this but depression comes in many different forms because of this sometimes it may not be recognizable. In the next two weeks, I will highlight symptoms, causes, treatments, and even warning signs of depression so stay tuned.
