Student Intern
Hello! I’m Chelsea! I fell in love with the art and practice of therapy over a decade ago. As I entered young adulthood, I attended my own therapy journey as I adjusted to a new season of life. I know reaching out for the first time can be difficult to do. I was once there so I understand how hard it can be attending that first session! I encourage you – you’ve got this!
Now, I am happily on the other side of the room giving back the support, space, empathy, and encouragement that I received so many years ago. I love this! My approach to counseling is one that is 1. Relational – I believe that we are healed best through sitting with others and community. 2. Encouragement – I believe that we need to be kind to ourselves despite the season of life we are experiencing. 3. Educational – I believe much empowerment comes from knowledge and self-awareness.
I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southeastern University. During my undergraduate degree, I took many electives in counseling and completed an internship at a local domestic violence support center. Post graduation, I became a mother to three beautiful children and found my passion for parenting. I became a certified parenting coach through Jai institute of Parenting and returned to Southeastern University for my Masters of Professional Counseling.
My specialties include support with adjusting through seasons of life, crisis management, parenting, relational struggles, depression, anxiety etc.
I am a safe place for all – regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, religious affiliation etc.
Remember, you are not alone and to be kind to yourself in all seasons of life!
