There is a major crossover between those who identify as a person of color (poc) and those who identify as LGBTQ+. This is why it is important to look at the intersectionality of this topic. Many people of color face numerous types of discrimination and biases within are society, this is the same within the LGBTQ+ community. So one could only presume if you identity as both these experienced discrimination would only be worse!
Due to this many researches have begun to research sexual minorities through an intersectional lense. Being able to understand how both facets of ones identity can effect how they are viewed in society and their own perceptions is very important.
