Holiday Self Care: Learning How to Take a Real Break pt.2

In the last blog post, we talked about how many of us struggle with knowing how to take a real break. With the closing of the year many projects and schools are coming to a close. Though many people are vacationing and spending time with loved one’s and family, there are still people all over the world with work, school, or other responsibilities on their minds. Though it is fine to have these thoughts wander into your daily thoughts it is good practice to learn how to separate yourself from them as a way not to get sucked back into the working mindset.

In this blog post, we will continue to talk about steps in learning how to take a break.

 

The next step in really taking a break is to use this time to…actually take a break!

3. What do you want to do?

Do you want to try a new hobby, meet up with old friends, or even just have you time? Sometimes it may feel like sitting around doing nothing during a break is unproductive, but it is a break and what you do with it is entirely up to you!
