Life can be challenging and difficult. Maybe you find yourself feeling lonely, anxious, or stuck and want something to change. You may be uncertain of what counseling is like, skeptical of whether it actually works, or fearful of doing it wrong. Sarah’s goal is to create a welcoming, warm environment from the moment the client walks through the door. She is compassionate, non-judgmental, and works to create a safe environment where trust can be built. She knows past experiences and present struggles do not define who we are but can interfere with daily living. Sarah works alongside the client to create goals that move them towards healing, empowerment, and desired change.

Sarah enjoys working with people of all ages, including individuals, couples, and families. She has spent years mentoring single women and mothers. She is certified in Psychological First Aid which makes her uniquely qualified to help clients work through crisis and trauma. She is inspired to help those connect with their spirituality in the aftermath of neglect or spiritual abuse. One of her passions is to help families who struggle knowing how to respond to the difficulties of parenting or how to respond to a challenging child. With over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages, she has become a strong child advocate. She is a Florida licensed educator and a former 5th grade teacher who continues to work with underprivileged, special needs and adopted children. She has developed skills to engage children with learning disabilities, ADHD, as well as gifted students and their parents.

She is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She received her undergraduate degree from Calvin University in Elementary Education.

Sarah is a mother of three children and has been married for 15 years. Although she grew up in Michigan, she loves the Florida sun and has been in Orlando for over 18 years. She enjoys spending time in nature, going on hikes admiring all the wildlife which whisks her away from busy city living. As a former athlete, she still carves out time to shoot hoops with her children. She especially enjoys traveling with her family and playing board games with her children.
