Katherine Nguyen is a recent graduate from Asbury Theological Seminary with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from a mental health approach and a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling. She is passionate about creating a safe space in the counseling room to facilitate healing for individuals and couples. Emphasizing the need to embrace health and wholeness in all areas of life, Katherine seeks to create an encouraging, collaborative, and supportive space for clients to engage mind, body, spirit, and family in therapeutic healing. Katherine is passionate about working with young adults and couples.

Katherine often utilizes Internal Family Systems therapy, but also integrates various other approaches including attachment theory, cognitive behavior therapy, person-centered therapy, solutions focused therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and others. Katherine has completed Levels 1 and 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is certified in Prepare-Enrich and Psychological Skills for Recovery. She looks forward to continuing to learn and expand her skills and knowledge to better work with individuals and couples.

In her free time, Katherine enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, and friends. She also enjoys visiting the many theme parks in the Orlando area. Katherine is an avid reader and enjoys a variety of genres, including historical fiction, fantasy, and classic novels.
